Osteria Brooklyn @ LIC is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream by Chef Raffaele, a culinary professional with a passion for simple, intensely flavorful Italian cooking.
Born and trained in the rustic tradition of Sardinia, Chef Raffaele honed his skills in five-star European hotels before traveling the world with Princess Cruise Lines. His journey led him to a fateful morning on the Hudson River, where he decided New York City was to be his home.
After mastering the Manhattan restaurant scene as an Executive Chef, he opened his own establishment to honor the rich culinary heritage of his homeland. Chef Raffaele treats food as a “Celebration”, preparing succulent, enchanting dishes “A la Minute” (cooked to order) using only the best Italian and fresh local ingredients.
His menu is a testament to the powerful flavors and simple preparations passed down by his ancestors, bringing a piece of authentic Sardinian tradition to Long Island City.
